Simple things about life 2 (Samosa - Indian snack 1)

I love Indian food and I am sure like me most of the Indians will say our food is the best in the world. Well, it all depends from person to person. We love spicey and hot food. But these days it's becoming a trend to minimize the fat part and go for healthy food. Specially, in metropolitan cities it's good to see that we are becoming more and more health conscious.
But here I just want to talk about our Indian junk food which we get in Delhi and Delhites crave for it where ever they go in the world. How can anybody not like samosa (a triangular patty filled with either potatoes and peas or meat and then deep fried) with tamarind chutney.
We eat samosa in so many different ways that I thought I will dedicate one of my whole blog to it. The simplest way is samosa with chutney and chai (Indian Tea). You can get samosa chaat where they break samosa in a plate and pour red tamarind chutney which is sweet and green chutney made of coriander leaves and green chillies, and Chickpeas (Kabuli or Safed Chana) with little gravy.  Then they make samosa sandwich or bun by breaking samosa and heating it up on a Tawaa and then put it either between two slices of bread or in a bun and then put some red and green chutney, thinly sliced onions on it. If you don't have any chutney you can replace it by any tomato ketchup. Even while writing I am getting the craving for samosa. It feels like now I should go and get my hands on a samosa so I am finishing here. I am sure, after reading this you are feeling the same.
But before I go, just a word of caution, samosa is a deep fried snack so it's calorie count is very high. Whoever counting their calorie intake should take into account this too. But still once in a while you can enjoy a good and yummy snack like samosa, isn't it :)
Also, if anybody knows more ways of enjoying this wonderful Indian snack please do let me know or leave a comment. I would be thankful to you.
